Alicia Broughton, Principal

I am a graduate of the State University of New York at Cortland College, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a Master’s of Science in Teaching. I furthered my education at both the University of Virginia and Longwood University, receiving my Post-Master’s Certificate in Gifted Education and Administration and Leadership respectively. I am a proud National Board Certified Teacher (Middle Childhood Generalist), and am working towards my Doctoral Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. The 2025-2026 school year will mark my 17th year in education, and my third as principal at Old Hundred! Prior to last school year, I served as an Assistant Principal, classroom teacher, and K-5 Gifted Resource Teacher.

As we embark on this new school year, I look forward to working collaboratively with you to ensure the success of your students. It truly is an honor to lead and serve this community alongside our highly qualified staff and dedicated PTA, as we build upon established Hawk traditions together. Please feel free to contact me or stop by anytime -- my door is always open!

Andrea Bullis

Andrea Bullis, Associate Principal

In the fall of 2009, I was excited to begin my journey in education right here in Chesterfield County as a third grade teacher at Woolridge Elementary. Over the years, I had the joy of teaching kindergarten, first, and fourth grades, each bringing its own special memories and learning experiences. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Randolph-Macon College and later pursued my Graduate Certificate in Teacher Licensure at the University of Richmond. After many fulfilling years in the classroom, I returned to the University of Richmond to earn my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, graduating in December 2019.

Following that, I had the privilege of serving as the Associate Principal at Bellwood Elementary for two wonderful years before joining the Old Hundred family for the 2022-23 school year. I’m truly thrilled to be part of this community and can’t wait to spend the upcoming year supporting our amazing students, dedicated staff, and wonderful families here at Old Hundred Elementary.

I live in Chesterfield County with my three wonderful children. As a family, we cherish our time together—whether we’re at the beach, cheering on soccer games, or exploring the outdoors. When I have a little extra time, I love diving into a good book, experimenting with new recipes, and discovering the many great restaurants Richmond has to offer. Learning is a passion of mine, and I’m so excited to share that enthusiasm with all of our current and future Hawks.

Nicole Scruggs

Nicole Scruggs, Assistant Principal

I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the Assistant Principal here at Old Hundred Elementary School, a role I’ve proudly held for the past four years. I have a Master’s degree in Education from VCU and a Post-Master's certificate in Administration. Before becoming an Assistant Principal, I worked as an instructional designer, where I developed a passion for creating engaging learning experiences.

My teaching career has been diverse, spanning fifth, fourth and second grades. I truly enjoy working with both teachers and students, and I’m dedicated to fostering a love of learning and curiosity in our school community.

When I’m not at school, I love spending time with my husband, DJ, and our daughter, Quinn. In my free time, I indulge in reading, crafting, and woodworking, which allows me to express my creativity and commitment to lifelong learning. I’m excited to continue being a part of this wonderful community and contributing to our shared success.
